This project which I was able to photograph as a Sacramento Architectural Photographer in Pinecrest for Laura is just a prove that referrals do work. But this post is not about referrals and how they work yet I would like to briefly mention how I have received this job. When in the past I was living in Denver Colorado I have worked for a great agent and he has referred me to this client to photograph this wonderful cabin. This just proves that you never know how people know each other so be nice to your clients and treat them with all respect because after all they are people too.

But now let’s get back to this very cozy cabin in Pinecrest. The cabin is not big but has lots to offer such at: full size kitchen, large living room, two bedrooms, and two lofts. I haven’t mentioned also the big porch and great fire place in the back. Also its very, very close to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort so if you are into snowboarding or skiing this is a good place to come and visit. At the moment when I was there and yes it is a drive from Sacramento but it’s worth it, the lake was kind of low but hopefully with all the rain which we had it would be filled up again. The area around the lake also has lots of trials to walk and the cabin is in walking distance of the lake as well. So coming as a family or with friends to enjoy either summer walks or winter fun while staying in this cabin would be worth it. Don’t get me started again on the drive to this cabin because it was just gorgeous, and to get away from the city life to this area would be recommended.  I will provide an email address for Laura if you would like to contact her to book this cabin but last words: it’s worth checking out this cabin.

I do understand it’s been a while since I have written any blog post as Sacramento Interior Design Photographer but since the 2018 year was very busy for me I had to leave all writing until I had time. So let’s see what this year will have for me and let’s start with this great post about another magazine shoot which I was hired to do for Engaged Lifestyle Media.

This I have to say was an interesting project since it was for a person who personaly styles their home comparing to when interior designer does it. Is this a bad thing? No not really because some people are very talented and that’s what this shoot was about. To photograph a home for Flea Market Decor which was all staged (but also the family does lives in it as the photos show below) while everything was bought from a flea market. As a Sacramento Interior Design Photographer I do have to say these kind of projects do amaze me but feel free to see the photos below for your own opinion.

Last year I was contacted by American Farmhouse Magazine to photograph a project for spring issue and since I do provide services as Bay Area Interior Design Photographer I couldn’t pass on this opportunity. Yes I have mentioned this on Instagram and Facebook, although I wanted to post all the images which have been published in the magazine for everyone to see. So this blog post will show the section of the magazine which my photos were used from this great project. As a Sacramento Real Estate Photographer I wanted to comeback to one topic which does pop-up once in a while. It’s nothing major but as you can see the photo above it does make all the difference not only in photos but in the sale of the home. There was another post which I have written some time ago (link here) regarding this topic but this time it’s different. Now I know this has happened to me quite a lot in the passed and I am sure it will in the future but the difference between two homes is there. What am I talking about? Well good thing you asked. There are times when I get to photograph a home which is 95% simural to the one that I have already photographed for a different agents. Yes it could be in the same neighborhood or even across town but it does happen especially with the new development homes (well not really new but anything from 30 years ago to current). The layout of the home would be almost exactly the same but one thing is different is of course the furniture and wall colors.

Take a look at the comparison images below and you will see the difference in not only the images but appearance of the home when the home has more neutral interior colors. Yes I understand that every homeowner (seller) has it’s own preferences and wants to make the home feel like it’s their own. But as a Sacramento Real Estate Photographer I see this quite a lot when homes have interesting interior colors and the homeowner doesn’t want to understand that they are selling the home. Anyways I don’t want to bore someone to death with this topic but I will say when the home is properly ready for photography it does make all the differance. So see for yourself:
